1. Who We Are
BatterSuite (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a business management application built for home and cottage bakers, operated by Marcia’s Munchies LLC from Beachwood, New Jersey, United States. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at info@battersuite.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers — name, email address, IP address, device identifiers
- Account information — username, password (hashed), license key
- Commercial information — subscription tier, payment status (we do not see card numbers)
- Business data you enter — recipes, ingredients, customer records, orders, invoices, storefront content. This data belongs to you.
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, approximate location (city/region)
- Device and browser data — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, referring URL
3. What We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or store payment card information. All payments are processed directly by third-party providers — Stripe, PayPal, Square, or (for iOS in-app purchases) Apple via RevenueCat — and are subject to their respective privacy policies. We never see your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your BatterSuite account
- To send you your activation key and account-related emails
- To process payments and renewals
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve, maintain, and secure the application
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.
5. Email Communications
By signing up you agree to receive transactional emails such as your activation code, account notices, billing receipts, and security alerts. With your consent, we may send product updates and newsletters. You can opt out of non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing info@battersuite.com. Transactional emails (receipts, security notices, account-critical messages) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it’s used:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for login, security, and core functionality (cannot be disabled)
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit) and Jetpack Stats to understand site traffic. We anonymize IP addresses where supported.
- Functional cookies — remember your preferences (e.g., dismissed banners)
You can manage cookie preferences via the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can also block cookies in your browser settings — note that blocking necessary cookies may prevent login.
7. Third-Party Services (Sub-Processors)
We use trusted third-party services to operate BatterSuite. These providers process limited personal data on our behalf:
- Hostinger (Lithuania/global) — website and application hosting
- Stripe, PayPal, Square (US) — payment processing (web)
- RevenueCat (US) — subscription management for iOS in-app purchases
- Google (US) — Google Analytics, Site Kit, Google Fonts
- Automattic / Jetpack (US) — site statistics, security, performance
- WP Mail SMTP (US) — transactional email delivery
- FluentCRM (self-hosted) — newsletter and customer relationship management
- Apple, Google — distribution of our mobile applications via App Store and Google Play
Each provider has their own privacy policy and security practices. We select providers who meet industry-standard data protection requirements.
8. Data Retention
- Active accounts — we retain your data for as long as your account is active
- Cancelled accounts — we retain account data for 30 days after cancellation in case you want to reactivate, then permanently delete it
- Deletion requests — processed within 30 days
- Billing records — retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance
- Anonymized analytics — retained indefinitely (cannot be linked back to you)
9. International Data Transfers
BatterSuite is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the US (including the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland), your personal data will be transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards where required by law for international transfers.
10. Children’s Privacy
BatterSuite is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@battersuite.com and we will delete it promptly.
